Många av oss lever våra liv utan full närvaro. Tiden rinner iväg allt snabbare och vi springer fortare och fortare, men blir ändå inte nöjda och vet inte alltid ens varför vi har så bråttom! Resultatet blir en känsla av otillräcklighet, stress, utmattning, trötthet, och meningslöshet. Många av oss hamnar lätt i prestationskrav och självkritik istället för att känna efter och ägna oss åt det som känns viktigt och meningsfullt. MBSR erbjuds inom vården för olika patientgrupper, samt i friskvårdssyfte. Den senaste sammanställningen av forskning på MBSR visar på signifikanta effekter på depression, stress, ångest, livskvalité och fysisk funktion (se länk). Socialstyrelsen nämner MBSR i sina senaste riktlinjer för depressionsprevention (från 2017). Many of us live our lives without being fully present. Time flies by faster and faster and we hurry on and try to keep up, but still are not satisfied and don’t always even know why we are in such a hurry! This results is feelings of inadequacy, stress, exhaustion, fatigue, and lack of meaning. Many of us get trapped in achievement and self-criticism instead of devoting ourselves to what feels important and meaningful. A growing body of research shows that mindfulness can help us manage and deal with that which causes stress in our lives. Do you want to learn tools to experience less stress and more meaning? Attend the evidence-based mindfulness course MBSR in autumn 2023! Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR©). MBSR is offered in health-care settings for different patient groups, as well as for health promotion purposes for those who are not ill. A recent compilation of research on MBSR shows significant effects on depression, stress, anxiety, quality of life and physical functioning. The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare mentions MBSR in its latest guidelines for depression prevention (from 2017). Maria Niemi has 20 years of experience in practicing mindfulness meditation/insight meditation, and has held courses in MBSR at the employee health promotion service at the medical university, Karolinska Institutet, since 2010. She also conducts research on mindfulness and has benefited greatly from her mindfulness practice in parenting her two children as well as in her working life. She has undergone MBSR instructor training with the course’s founder, Jon Kabat-Zinn (http://www.umassmed.edu/cfm/), as well as with Camilla Sköld (http://cfms.se) Scope: 8 group sessions of 2 hours 15 minutes plus a full day retreat of 7 hours during a weekend. Content: The program is experiential and includes the following practices; body scan, mindfulness meditation, mindfulness yoga as well as group reflections. Participants are advised to do daily homework, approximately 45 minutes per day, 6 days per week, using recorded mindfulness practices. Course Materials: Weekly course materials are included as well as downloadable guided meditations Number of participants: 5-10 people Course start We meet on the following dates and times: Tuesday, November 14th, 18.30-20.45 Tuesday, November 21st 18.30-20.45 Thursday, December 7th 17.00-19.15 Thursday, December 14th 17.00-19.15 Thursday, December 21st 17.00-19.15 Thursday, January 11th 17.00-19.15 Saturday, January 13th 9.00-16.00 Thursday, January 18th 17.00-19.15 Thursday, January 25th 17.00-19.15 For attendance, you will need a quiet space where you will not be disturbed, as well as space to move on a yoga mat. You will need a yoga mat and something to sit on (a chair or a meditation cushion). You will need access to a stable internet connection, and all participants are expected to attend with their cameras switched on during the entire course meeting – this is four the sake of the group as a whole. The course will be held on the Zoom web platform. Before the course starts, you will have the opportunity for an individual phone consultation with the teacher, if needed. If you register before October 16, you get an early-bird price of SEK 3,000! Regular price SEK 3,500.
